The entire wedding was so jam-packed with personal details that there are too many to list!
The ceremony took place in a clearing deep in the woods.
The guests sat in the round with the bride and groom on a rock in the center.
A bluegrass band played during the ceremony as the bridal party made their way throw the woods on a candle-lit path.
The reception took place on the other side of the woods on the grounds of one of the oldest day camps in the country.
The reception featured farmhouse tables with mismatched vintage chairs and bulb lights strung from a totem pole.
The groom and his southern bride fittingly chose Cajun creole to serve their guests, as Bier Brewery provided the craft beer.
The guests weren't short on activities. There was everything from dancing, to giant Jenga, to roasting marshmallows.
The night was capped off with a massive floating lantern send-off to the sounds of "Sweet Disposition" by Temper Trap.

Honey & Salt captured this wedding perfectly!! Please check out a few highlights on their Facebook page HERE.

Happy Anniversary, Brandon and Melissa!! You are just about the sweetest two people that could ever get married! I am so honored to have been a part of your day. Your wedding is one I will remember forever!

Congratulations on two years of marriage, Buren Lee, and Brandon becoming a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps!

Every detail was flawless and executed with perfection by this amazing team of vendors.
The slate blue bridesmaids' dresses were perfectly flattering on each girl.
The white and blush florals were stunning and classic.
The tables were named after memorable moments for the bride and groom with a story to go with each.
Each guest received a monogrammed tasting glass to use at the craft beer station.
The bride and groom snuck away at sunset to capture romantic photos on the rooftop.
Hot Box Pizza delivered a VERY well-received late night snack.
Confetti burst from the ceiling onto a packed dance floor near the end of the reception.

Happy Anniversary, Adam and Stacy!! I adore you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness together! Even when a surprise pregnancy found me waddling around on your wedding day, you were still as kind and gracious as ever.

Our Favorite Details
Every detail of this wedding reflected the personality of the bride and groom.
The bride wore the same scent Kate Middleton wore on her wedding day (White Gardenia by Henri Bendel).
The guys, including the father of the bride, donned Chuck Taylor sneakers.
The rings were carried on the mother of the bride's Bible, making her a part of this very special day.
A food truck dinner took place in the shaded courtyard of the church (a logistical challenge, but so fun!)
Guests moved inside to a nearly 100 year old gymnasium (fitting for the former basketball star groom) for dancing, drinks, and dessert.
A yummy cookie and milk bar replaced the traditional wedding cake.
The couple drove away in a Jeep Wrangler following a sparkler send-off.
Did I mention every detail was perfectly their style? I just loved it!

Happy Anniversary to Jon and Alex!! Your wedding was full of some of my favorite personal details, yet your love for each other and for Christ is what shined through. I miss our "planning and drinks" meetings, and will definitely continue that tradition with other clients! =)

Cheers to two years and many more!

They said their vows while standing in a circle of rose petals.
Postcards of Chicago landmarks were used as place cards and table numbers.
The bride's hair dresser switched Katie's hair to an updo for the reception.

The Four Leaf Story

What’s in a name, really? Well, in our case, so much! If you’ve ever wondered why we’re called Four Leaf Events, then read on…

My love for the symbol of the four leaf clover began when I was engaged to my husband. We started sharing more about each other’s family history and I learned of his family’s close Irish heritage. My husband gave me a gold four leaf clover pendent necklace as a way to connect me to my new family.

Aside from the fact that I’m totally smitten with what this kind gesture symbolized, I also love what the points of the four leaf clover stand for: faith, hope, love and luck. I believe it takes a bit of all of these to pull off a successful wedding. So, I found it fitting for a wedding planner’s company name to represent these attributes.

Then it goes a little further to 1 Corinthians 13, a very popular scripture reading at weddings, but one that speaks so much truth. In the thirteenth verse Paul writes: “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” Four Leaf Events is focused on the faith, hope and love connecting the bride and groom in their marriage. And when it comes to making it through the wedding day without a hitch, we will be your lucky charm!

with love,

Jen
